Held at The Marquee at the Brisbane Showgrounds, DJ Fatboy Slim will headline the sold out event, alongside North London duo Gordon City, and local artist Motez.
Brisbane Showgrounds General Manager of Venue Sales and Marketing Jago Coyle says this was the first time Electric Gardens had been held at the Showgrounds.
“The festival has been running since 2016 and we’re thrilled they’ve chosen to bring their big name line-up to the Showgrounds this year, to lead music fans into the Australia Day long weekend.”
Fatboy Slim christened the inaugural Electric Gardens two years ago, and is now set to pull on his signature Hawaiian shirt to be the life and soul of this year’s event.
Gordon City’s polished, powerful and party-minded sound – a mix of heavy hip-swinging rhythms – will bring a bass line to the festival, having played an important role shaping the trajectory of the deep house music scene.
Local artist Motez will bring a soundscape that pushes the boundaries of the regular house producer, with his wholesome, wall-to-wall club cuts.
Producer, DJ and remixer MK (Marc Kinchen) will also be taking the stage at Electric Garden, as the artist behind some of the biggest tracks of early house, and one of the most in-demand DJs on the global circuit.
Electric Gardens is set to open at 4pm, with breakneck and electric tunes expected to play well into the night.
