Queensland Theatre‘s highly anticipated Osamah Sami’s Good Muslim Boy opened at QPAC‘s Cremorne Theatre on Saturday 14 July. The play, which is an autobiographic abridging of his award-winning novel of the same name, chronicles Sami’s extraordinary life as well as the struggles he faced trying to bring his father’s body back to Australia after he died on a trip to Iran. The opening night crowd rewarded a brilliant performance with a standing ovation. Directed by Sam Strong, it is a Queensland Theatre & Malthouse Theatre co-production.
