Family owned and operated Harris Farm Markets will open their flagship Queensland store in West End tomorrow, Friday, 4 June.

It will be home to four lines of locally made Pour Your Own honey, three direct pour milk offerings, more than 500 cheeses in a dedicated Cheese Alley, over 150 plant-based and vegan products, their famous Imperfect Picks range plus over 500 lines of fruit and vege. Occupying more than 1800sqm on the ground floor of the historic 1920s Peters Ice Cream building at West Village, Harris Farm Markets has created a food mecca, custom-designed to take fruit and veg lovers on a flavour journey that shines the light on local food.

“Our West End flagship store will be home to the best in fruit and vegetables, including a huge organic fruit & veg section and a leaderboard of Queensland flavours, a gourmet grocery section of boutique local products, an extensive deli and offering of more than 500 cheeses, a local bakery section with the best breads such as sourdough and brioche from our Teneriffe mates Danny’s, and a premium meat selection,” said Tristan Harris, co-CEO of Harris Farm Markets.

“It will be a flavour-filled showcase of Queensland and Australian produce under one roof, and we can’t wait to open here in West End, an area that values their fresh fruit, vegetables and food stories so highly given the history of local food in the peninsula,” he said.

The famed local fruit, vegetable and grocery market opened their first store in Queensland at Brisbane’s Clayfield in November last year and is now coming to West End. They will be showcasing produce from over 320 Queensland growers. “Sustainability is a driver for our business, and we are thrilled to increase the footprint of our Imperfect Picks range here at West End, where we spotlight produce that didn’t make it past the beauty test that other supermarkets use!” said Harris.
