Queensland Symphony Orchestra hosted an elegant fundraising event on 26 October in the QSO Studio, South Brisbane. Hosted by QSO Board Chair Chris Freeman and Chief Executive Crag Whitehead, the Music, Health and Wellbeing Dinner featured a panel conversation about the importance of music in improving the health and wellbeing of the community as well as an intimate performance by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra’s five piece ensemble. Throughout the year, the Queensland Symphony Orchestra works closely with students, musicians and community groups in both Brisbane and regional Queensland via such initiatives as A Day In the Orchestra, Sing with the Orchestra, Compose: Symphony for Tomorrow and Queensland Music Enrichment Initiative and the Orchestra relies on the support of generous donors in order to continue these projects.
