Once responsible for the production of icecreams classics like Drumstick, Billabong and Eskimo Pie, the historic factory is now available to host cocktail parties or intimate dinners under the stars.
The factory was first opened in 1928 by Peter’s Artic Delicacy and Co and it quickly became one of the most efficient icecream factories in Australia.
Peters Rooftop offers a birds-eye view of the local skyline and features art and design by artists Bromley and Co. Based out of Victoria, David and Yuge Bromley are committed to creating worlds in which the absence of art would be considered “unimaginable”.
In the evening Peters Rooftop comes alive with candles and fairy lights, granting the buildings history a contemporary flare and creating a comfortable atmosphere.
The factory’s restoration is fundamental to the development of West End’s West Village, a project inspired by the world’s most engaging precincts while maintaining an intrinsic connection to the surrounding culture.
Sekisui, the development team at the helm of the West Village project, are committed to transforming and revitalising the precinct as a centre for the West End’s thriving community.
Sekisui hopes the West Village will mimic the ‘beating heart’ of New York, which is lined by the lively Park and Lexington Avenues.
