The Nature Conservancy (TNC) Australia’s photo contest is now open, with more than $16,000 worth of prizes up for grabs.
TNC is calling on all nature lovers and photographers to share their passion and enter TNC Australia’s Nature Photo Contest, which will run throughout the month of August 2021. “Australia, with its magical landscapes and unique wildlife, is an endless source of inspiration,” TNC Australia Managing Director Alison Rowe said.
“Now is the time to get outdoors and capture the beauty surrounding us. People can also dig out their pictures which best illustrate their connection with nature,” she said. “I’m looking forward to seeing all the images from entrants worldwide,” Brisbane-based photographer and judge Adrian Alford said. “Photography can be a very powerful medium to communicate nature’s power, beauty and importance.”
The contest is open to anyone with a love for nature, amateur as well as professional photographers. Renowned Australian photographers Adrian Alford, Christian Fletcher, Ben Goode and Sean Scott will select the best pictures across four categories: People and Nature, Landscapes, Wildlife, Water. People can submit as many entries as they want. Prizes will be awarded for the best Australian photos, with the total prize pool, including prizes for global and Australian winners, exceeding AUD$16,000 in value.
