Opened as South Brisbane Travel, now Pulse Travel is celebrating 30 years of business.

Established by original employees and partners Anthea and Stan Klinakis, who were joined a couple of years later by Susan Sherrington and then Rebecca Rayfield (notably, all four are still with the company to this day), the business was located in a tiny office in the heart of cosmopolitan West End. Back then, Pulse provided leisure travel services to West End locals and the Greek community.

Fast forward to 2019, and Pulse Travel has left behind its tiny Boundary Street nook, spreading its wings to become a large corporate travel provider, now located in Browning Street. With a dedicated, long-standing team, Pulse Travel could not be more grateful to its loyal clientele who have continued to support them across three decades. “This anniversary is a celebration of the company’s success over the past 30 years,” explained Pulse Travel Director Stan. “We couldn’t have done it without the trust and loyalty of our valued clients and our extraordinary team. We recognise that our success is directly linked to continual referrals from our clients. My dad always told me to look after our customers – as one happy client will tell five new prospects, and referrals are the biggest compliment a company can receive.”

Stan is proud of the team the company has created, believing the team contributes to Pulse’s success. “Pulse Travel’s clients are fortunate to have a committed, mature and knowledgeable team providing excellent personalised service, due to their many years of industry experience,” said Stan. “We’re so proud of our team. They have dedicated their time to Pulse Travel, and are differentiated by their longevity, knowledge, discipline and unremitting commitment to providing the highest possible standard of service to our clients.”

Stan says it is the “frosting” that encourages longevity with his staff, explaining how the Diamond Club was created  to show his appreciation to staff by gifting them a one carat diamond for every 10 years of service. To date, there are six team members on one carat, three on two carats, and one team member has received three diamonds. “Staff satisfaction has, and will always be, a focal point for our business. We are here not only to build a successful business, but also to have fun along the way. Ensuring our employees are motivated, supported and grow with the Pulse family is something we pride ourselves on,” explained Stan.

Whether it is working with a large group or corporate account, providing multiple international flights and accommodation for their employees, or a local West End family booking their annual trip to Fiji, the dedicated team at Pulse Travel have, and always will, provide outstanding results for their valued clients.

In addition to its international presence, the agency is well-known for its 24/7 emergency assistance. No matter where you are in the world, the Pulse Travel team offers 24/7 support, with real time responses and emergency after-hours service, provided by a dedicated team member – not a call centre.

Pulse Travel is located at 12 Browning Street in South Brisbane.
