Somerville House hosted a Christmas Family Lunch on campus for sick children and their families who will be in hospital over the holiday period on December 10.

Children’s Hospital Foundation Chief Executive, Rosie Simpson said the Christmas Family Lunch offered Queensland Children’s Hospital patients and families the chance to enjoy some early festive cheer away from the hospital environment.

“It can be particularly difficult for children to be away from home at this time of year, so this event provides them and their families, with a wonderful distraction from the health challenges they’re facing. We’re so grateful to Somerville House students and staff for volunteering their time and resource to make this special event possible for families again this year,” said Ms Simpson.
