Southern Cross Soloists launched its 2019 Concert Series season with Lunar New Year: Memories from Childhood at QPAC on Sunday 17 February. The performance celebrated the East and West, good luck and good fortune with brilliant colour and sheer exuberance. This jubilian concert ushered in the Year of the Pig with an inspired mix of modern and traditional folk songs support by three guest artists cello virtuoso Li-Wei Qin, international erhu master George Gao, and piano soloist Kristian Chong.
