Flares, fur and feathers were in abundance as VIP guests and Brisbane’s performing arts community applauded the opening night of Opera Queensland’s 70’s inspired production of the iconic Tosca on Thursday 13 June with the after-party at Emporium Hotel’s The Terrace rooftop bar. The first of five special performances in June, audience members were treated to a fantastic reimaging of opera’s greatest heroine, with captivating performances by Australian singers Rachelle Durkin – as the fierce Tosca – and Angus Wood playing her beloved Cavaradossi while Jose Carbo played Scarpia.
