A whole new world is coming to South Bank Parklands’ Riverside Green on March 4 and 5. Live at South Bank will be hosting two new events next month — which include singalongs to Disney and Broadway classics.

On both days, Riverside Melodies will be held from 10 AM – 1 PM. Food stalls and drink vendors will be available, and on top of that, the event is entirely free. The event is free, fun, and family-friendly. Families are sure to enjoy themselves, with live renditions of songs from Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast. Musical fans will also appreciate the lineup, which includes songs from Matilda, The Sound of Music, Hairspray, and Grease.

After dusk, Sunset Opera will take over. With ABC Radio Brisbane’s Loretta Ryan as MC, the event will showcase the most talented singers in Queensland with piano accompaniment. Each performance of Sunset Opera will be 30 minutes long. Pop-up food stalls and a licensed bar will also be present. Though it is not free, tickets for the event are only 8 dollars each.

“This great line up of free and low-cost performances will showcase a variety of musical entertainment for the community to enjoy in the beautiful surrounds of South Bank Parklands,” said Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner.

South Bank Parklands itself is a treat, boasting multiple parks and gardens along the Brisbane River, alongside highly acclaimed bars and restaurants. “There is so much to see and do in Brisbane and the return of the Live at South Bank program is another fantastic experience for Brisbane residents and visitors,” Cr Schrinner added.

Tickets are available at Ticketek and the full program is available at Live at South Bank.
